How To Keep Your iPhone Dry While Cooking

First things first! Pick up a box of sandwich baggies, not freezer strength as the plastic is too thick. Just slip your phone in, press out the excess air, zip it up, and your phone will be protected from mylk splatters, chia seed topples, and red wine spills.

How To Keep Your Hair Out Of Your Face
And look stylish while doing so

Twist your hair up into a messy bun and refer to it as a "top knot". For less strenuous cooking endeavors, just pull the top half up in a way that people with perfect heart-shaped faces can really pull off but that makes me look like I have a sprouting onion sitting atop my head. Avoid the aid of a sock bun holder - this is passé.

Master The Perfect PSL

Blast the latest Drake album and heat up the Nespresso or Keurig. Pour your shot of espresso into a small mason jar and top up with coconut milk. Add a dash each of cinnamon, clove, and ginger. Stop to take a Snapchat. Screw the lid on and shake vigorously to distribute the spices and let the espresso heat the coconut milk. This is the perfect drink to take with you to the pumpkin patch. #PSLTime. Ignore the haters who don't understand how delicious a PSL is. As Daria points out, we all have a little basic in us. Embrace it.

Put Coconut In Everything, Become Brunch Master

Coconut can fix anything, just ask the internet. Put it in your hair, on your skin, and in your food. If people throw shade it's only because you're so radiant from all the fatty acids. It's delicious and has a wonderful rich texture in addition to being good for heart health. Treat your squad to a homemade brunch of vegan pancakes and fruit, they'll love it. Here's our basic recipe for vegan pancakes:

Free from dairy, nuts, peanuts, egg, oats, soy (depends on your brand of coconut milk)

Ingredients
*Very rough measurements, go by the feel of the batter
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 to 2/3 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
a heaping tbsp of honey

Method
Add all the ingredients to a bowl and whisk up until smooth. Heat up a tbsp of canola oil in a non-stick frying pan. When the oil is heated, add the batter a 1/4 cup at a time for a nicely sized pancake. Let them fry until bubbles form and pop, then flip over. They should be golden brown on both sides. Transfer to a plate and pour pure maple syrup over the top. Sprinkle on some berries and cinnamon and they're ready to eat. But not before you take a flat lay shot for Instagram!

Put It On Instagram

Preferably using a cool marble backdrop and lots of white space to draw attention to the food itself. #viewsfromtheplate
