Apple Fries

October 4, 2018 Amanda Orlando
oven baked apple fries

Better than regular fries and sweet potato fries! Apple fries are incredibly easy to make, taste fabulous, and are free from the top 8 allergens + gluten, and are suitable for vegans. Whip them up as a side dish for meat and poultry, or just as a simple snack. I like to make a batch when I’m craving the toasty apple flavor of a crumble or a pie, but don’t have time to make a topping or a crust.

Free from peanuts, nuts, dairy, egg, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish

Tip: Use a firm apple such as a Gala, Pink Lady, or Red Delicious

Ingredients
3 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 400F and line a pan with parchment paper.

Toss the apple slices with olive oil and spread them out evenly on the pan. Sprinkle the salt and cinnamon evenly over the apples. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip and bake for another 10 minutes.

Optional - Dipping Sauce
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tbsp. your favorite Dijon mustard *some brands contain wheat or soy. Read the label carefully before purchase.
A pinch each of cinnamon and salt

Mix the ingredients in a small bowl and either drizzle the dip over the fries or set out in a bowl for dipping
