Easy 15 Minute Cranberry Sauce
Easy 15 minute cranberry sauce is so simple and delicious. There’s no need to complicate a big family dinner!
Homemade cranberry sauce is better than canned, and it doesn’t need to have a million spices and ingredients. This sauce is so delicious, that I am eating it directly from the container with a spoon as I write this post. Of course, it pairs well with turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas or whatever holiday dinner you may be having. But I also make it at any opportunity when fresh cranberries are available. Try adding it to a roasted chicken sandwich, on top of a bowl of savory oatmeal, or on top of your holiday leftovers.

Ingredients
3 cups fresh cranberries, well washed
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tbsp dark brown sugar
a sprinkle of cinnamon
pinch of salt
Add all of the ingredients to a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer. The berries will start to sputter and pop, so I like to use a tall saucepan to block the splatter. Simmer for 5 - 8 minutes, stirring often. Transfer to a bowl or jar to serve or store. Serve warm.
