Bright Morning Boost Juice

April 19, 2018 Amanda Orlando
watermelon grapefruit juice

Last year I eliminated a number of things from my diet due to acid re-flux that was disturbing my sleep, and my life in general. Alcohol, onions, garlic, tomatoes, chocolate, and coffee, to name a few. I've been re-introducing these foods into my diet again over the last few months, but I have to admit that I don't need them as much as I used to, nor do I miss them as much as I thought I would. Coffee, for example, used to be a three times a day ritual for me. Now, I'm very satisfied with one cup first thing in the morning. And that's what led me to explore different hot drinks and healthy juices, like this grapefruit and watermelon one. The bright, vibrant flavors are the perfect morning pick-me-up and it takes less than a minute to prepare.

Free from peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, soy, egg, wheat, fish and shellfish
Vegan, gluten-free

Ingredients
1 large pink grapefruit
2 cups of watermelon pieces (or about 1 mini watermelon)
1/2 cup of ice

Squeeze the grapefruit juice directly into your blender, taking care to remove any seeds. Add the watermelon cubes, again removing any black seeds, and the ice. Blend until smooth.

Makes 2 big glasses of juice

Recipes don't always have to be complicated to be delicious :)
